IBM Electronic Typewriters

The newer models of IBM typewriters substitute the inked fabric ribbons with another kind. And that kind is known as 'carbon film' ribbon. The characteristic of this 'carbon film' ribbon is that it is a transparent plastic tape that had dry black or colored powder on it.

Most electric typewriters do not consist of the systems of levers and type hammers. In certain models, a golfball is being placed on the top of a wheel that is rotating. And there is another model that makes use of a daisywheel which resembles a small flower.

A big and major advantage of electric typewriters is that the quality when printed out is much more neat and sharp.
